Battlefield Extraction-Assist Robot (BEAR) comes to rescue!

Lets meet the future lifesaver!

With its primary mission: Enter a battle zone, search for wounded soldiers and rescue them. Obviously, these robots were created for good purpose. They can be your ultimate life saver (we don’t know...), these robots would have been very useful if they were created earlier, like during World War I and II, they should have saved many lives.

Let us know more about this creature. BEAR is a life-size humanoid robot used in battles to save lives. It is extremely strong, big robot most likely the size and shape of adult male human. Designed to safely lift human, carry them and put them down. The robot can lift about 500 pounds, equivalent to a large male with fully equipped with weapons and other supplies attached to him. It is also designed for lifting heavy objects, carry them for long distances as needed. In short, they have the agility to do heavy works. And take note that this robot has this so called “Degree of Freedom”, which is used for lifting an I-beam of a pained casualty with one arm, while rescuing the victim. It also employs dynamic balancing behavior, (dbb) enables the robot to balance the bottom of his lower tracks or wheels, on its knees, or even on its hips. The robot uses hydraulics, the same technology used in earth-moving equipment. The later version of BEAR was controlled by humans through a remote control. The human can be elsewhere, seeing through the robots camera and hearing through the robots microphone. However, with much training and proper simulation, the robot increases its semi-autonomous behaviors, meaning the robot can understand ad obey higher level of commands. The robot has sensors, which includes: Motion control systems; Rate gyros & accelerometers to enable dynamic balancing; web of touch sensors and pressure sensors on its arms, hands, torso and other areas to give it sensitivity to its human cargo; cameras, from standard optical to infrared to night vision; and a microphone array to localize based on sound.

Other Applications of this robot are:

-SCI-BEAR; Meaning, the BEAR is for patients that has spinal cord injury (sci) patients. They were assisted by the sci-bear in positioning their bodies. Positioning of their body on time will prevent the patient for having pressure ulcers—also known as bed sores. SCI-BEAR's assists nurses and doctors in thier task, it makes their task lighter and easier.

-HomeBEAR; Designed to meet the needs of those seniors who have a difficulty in completing their household task. It helps the activities of daily living. We can ask them to do the difficult and heavy task for us. See? It makes life easier for seniors and for those busy moms out there.

Excellent! Terrific! Bravo!
Imagine?!? A robot can save lives, what a hero! This only proves that technology really exist and it helps make life better. I wish this creature will continue its purpose for the benifit of all peacemakers in the world. See yah!
